The Milwaukee Braves began play in 1953. Their 13 year stay had a lot of success including World Series trips in 1957 and 1958. The team finished second in the National League between 1953 and 1960. Ownership would be an issue during these years with instability. In 1962 the team was sold and relocated to Atlanta in 1966. That 13 year run had success but proves ownership is important.
